A truly hair-raising sentence! Teresa Giudice 'breaks down amid fears she'll look bald without her extensions' while in prison

She's scheduled to start her mandatory 15-month sentence in Federal Prison on January 5.

And while Teresa Giudice is heartbroken about being away from her family, it's her beauty regimen while incarcerated that allegedly has her in tears.

According to RadarOnline.com, the 42-year-old had a 'breakdown about giving up her extensions, fearing she’ll look practically bald!'

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star was so worried that she even had her attorney 'inquire about keeping the hair extensions,' a source told the website. Then added: 'She will need to take out her extensions before beginning her prison sentence.'

And although the federal institution will have a beauty salon, 'the special skills needed to manage the extensions just aren’t available.'

Adding to her concerns, the website's source claims 'Teresa's natural hair is actually very, very thin and she doesn't have a lot of it.'

According to Radar, 'Teresa’s hairdresser has suggested clip in hair extensions, which only made her cry.'

The mother of four can expect no special treatment when she reports to Danbury Federal Prison to begin serving her 15-month sentence for fraud.

The Connecticut prison is where the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black is set and while it's a low security facility it still has its regulations.

According to TMZ, her husband Joe Giudice - who will begin his own 41-month sentence after Teresa - and four daughters will only be allowed 12 visits per month.

She can hug and kiss her visitors, but inmates are barred from having intimate relations.

The glamorous fashionista will also have to wear a uniform of grey, khaki, white or pastel green and is only allowed $320 a month to spend in the prison store.
