Southwest Airlines serving MKE for five years

Southwest Airlines set up shop in Milwaukee on Nov. 1, 2009. Since then, the Dallas-based airline has become the market share leader at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, by virtue of its purchase of AirTran Airways, which had built a sizeable presence here.
