Eau de toy-lette! Jeremy Scott launches first fragrance for Moschino... and it comes inside a teddy bear

Jeremy Scott, known for his outlandish and cartoonish designs, has launched his first fragrance for Moschino - and it's every bit as quirky as you'd expect.

Called simply Toy, the unisex scent comes inside an actual teddy bear wearing a white T-shirt that says: 'This is not a Moschino Toy.'

The $110 perfume will be officially unveiled by the designer on Friday at London department store Harrods.

To spray the scent, you must unscrew the teddy bear's head to reveal the nozzle.

Mr Scott also featured teddy bears in his shoe collection for Adidas, which became popular among stars and hip-hop artists after it was launched in 2008.

And if his recent designs for Moschino are any indication, the perfume will likely be a big hit.

Everyone from Katy Perry to Rita Ora has been spotted sporting his graphic fast-food themed collection, and supermodel Cara Delevingne is a loyal fan of his Simpsons-inspired apparel.

The 38-year-old was appointed creative director of Moschino in 2013, and judging by the Italian fashion house's subsequent success, it was a match made in heaven.

'One thing I have that the majority of other designers don't is humor,' Mr Scott told W Magazine in February. 'That's distinctly my approach, and it was distinctly Franco Moschino's, too.'

It's not the first time the designer has turned to a children's toy for fashion inspiration.

In fact, his entire spring 2015 collection for Moschino has a Barbie theme, complete with baby pink skirts and roller skates.

'I think Barbie brings joy. And that's what I try and do in my work,' Mr Scott said before the show.

He added: 'She's had every job. She's even been an astronaut. Barbie basically is the full package - plus she loves an evening dress which is very important for Moschino.'
