'It's going to take a lifetime to trust him': Kendra Wilkinson takes back husband Hank Baskett after cheating scandal

Kendra Wilkinson suffered every woman's worst nightmare when she learned her husband had cheated on her and while she was pregnant too.

Now, six months later, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star has revealed that she's taken Hank Baskett back and that they have reconciled.

Although 29-year-old Kendra has forgiven the 32-year-old former NFL athlete, she admitted that forgetting is a different matter after the pain and humiliation she's had to go through.

Kendra, with Hank by her side, said in a new interview with Us Weekly that they are 'happy' and that 'everything is great,' but admitted that 'it's going to take a lifetime to trust him again.'

Hank said: 'Our relationship is day-to-day. I'm still working on regaining Kendra's trust.'

In June, Kendra got an unpleasant jolt of reality when a transgender model claimed that she'd had a sexual encounter with Baskett - and while Kendra was still pregnant with the couple's second child.

Kendra also shares a four-year-old son, Hank Jr., with the former wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings.

The shocking news couldn't have come at a worse time for Kendra, who was grappling with postpartum depression following the birth of daughter Aliyah, now six months old.

'I was cold, alone, scared, sad, confused,' Kendra told Us Weekly. 'My hormones still weren't okay after having the baby. I was having postpartum blues and this just made it worse.

'I would cry myself to sleep every night... I couldn't control my rage. It became very volatile between us.'

The former Playboy model kicked Hank out of the house and confessed that she was one phone call away from filing from divorce, but that a friend cautioned her to wait.

Now, after therapy and intense talk, Kendra has taken Hank back.

Kendra told Us Weekly that she and Hank talked about what happened with the transgender, but won't go into details.

'We have talked. I know the truth. All I can say is that I believe Hank. I love Hank. And he's proven to me that he's worth forgiving and fighting for,' Kendra said.

'He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and unfortunate things took place. He's very gullible and naive.'

Hank added: 'There will be a time when I can share the situation, and I will.'

The 6 ft 4 athlete blamed his transgression on severe depression that had taken hold of his psyche.

'For the past two years, I've gone through a serious struggle with depression and during that time I lost the ability to open up to my best friend, Kendra,' Hank said, adding that after the separation: 'I hit bottom. My greatest fear is losing my family. That's all I live for.'

Over the summer, the couples explosive fights and dramatic therapy sessions played out on the reality series Kendra On Top - and in one pivotal episode the blonde bombshell got her revenge by flushing her wedding rings down the toilet.

'I don't regret that for a minute. Best feeling I ever had,' Kendra confessed.

Hank recalled his very different reaction, telling Us Weekly: 'That definitely hurt. She was about to flush this little red ladybug ring that I bought for her for $5 at a fair the first time she met my family.

'When she said she was going to flush that ring, my soul left me.'

Hank is continuing therapy on his own and reminding Kendra how much he loves her by doing little romantic things, like surprising her with roses picked from their own garden.

'He puts one on my steering wheel, or I'll wake up in the morning and there's one on the toilet seat or on my coffee mug. He's romantic,' Kendra gushed.

A hilly road still lies ahead for Kendra, who admitted: 'As much as I forgive and love Hank, I have major trust issues.'
