She got engaged to Romain Dauriac in August of last year, and the couple have since had a baby together.

Now Scarlett Johansson has sparked rumours that she and the French journalist may already have tied the knot.

The 29-year-old was seen wearing what appeared to be a slender diamond band on her wedding finger while hosting the second annual Hurricane Sandy fundraiser on Tuesday in New York City.

The Oscar nominee wore what looked to be a ring underneath her engagement sparkler as she took to the stage during the annual event.

MailOnline has contacted Scarlett's spokesperson for comment.

Scarlett and Romain, 31, got engaged in August 2013, but the Captain America: The Winter Soldier star has said that she doesn't want to 'rush' tying the knot as 'being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savour'.

Scarlett was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds, from 2008 until 2011.

On September 4, a rep for Scarlett confirmed that she and Romain had welcomed their daughter, Rose, into the world.

The pair, who started dating in 2012, sparked rumours they were expecting a child together in March this year, just three months after Scarlett revealed that she was keen to start a family.

She said at the time: 'I would like to have my own family, that would be nice.

'They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else.

'At some point it is something I look forward to.'

Scarlett hosted the fundraiser on Tuesday with her twin brother Hunter.

The duo looked stylish as they took to the red carpet at the Hudson Terrace, New York.

Scarlett showed off her post pregnancy figure in a chic navy dress featuring elegant pleating and a belt cinching in her waist.

The Her actress elongated her slim legs with some pointed Christian Louboutin pumps and carried a gold clutch with colourful cut-out detailing.

Hunter, who appeared alongside his sister in 1996 flick Manny & Lo, looked smart in a tailored black suit and skinny patterned tie.

The benefit honoured members of the community whose efforts helped rebuild homes in Rockaway, Queens and Breezy Point in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The deadly storm caused $65 billion of damage in the US when it hit at the end of October 2012.

According to the Examiner: 'Proceeds from the event will support Giants Of Generosity and Friends Of Rockaway organizations who have been tirelessly working to rebuild homes for more than 200 families who are still awaiting help and living in unsafe conditions.'
