Image is everything! Jessica Chastain shivers as she sheds her coat to show her outfit to photographers in chilly New York
She turned up wearing a heavy black overcoat with shiny sleeves.
But Jessica Chastain obviously didn't want to disappoint the photographers waiting in the cold to see her outside the studios for The Daily Show With Jon Stewart in New York on Wednesday.
With temperatures in the low 30s Fahrenheit, the 37-year-old gamely took her warm garment off, to reveal a black sparkly blouse and a skin-tight black skirt with frills at knee height teamed with toweringly high black pumps.
She does look cold: Jessica Chastain turned up outside the studios for her appearance on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart wearing a heavy black overcoat on Wednesday in New York
The chilly redhead bravely smiled as fans clamoured for her autograph, held back by railings.
Her long wavy tresses blew in the breeze and she attempted to control her hair by tucking it behind her ears, revealing her pale, perfectly made up face.
The star, who jetted into JFK from Los Angeles on Tuesday, posted a picture of her interview with Jon on Instgram.
What a nice gesture: Despite the chilly temperature, the 37-year-old took off her warm coat to give fans a better look at her elegant outfit
She captioned it: 'I'm on @TheDailyShow tonight. Tune in to Comedy Central 11pm. We discuss @Interstellar @NASAJPL & pigs!!!'
Interstellar is her space sci-fi drama, co-starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, which was released on November 7.
It follows a team of astronauts who travel through a wormhole in an attempt to find a potentially habitable planet that will sustain humanity.
Ch-ch-chilly: The Interstellar star donned a shimmery black blouse and black pencil skirt
The blockbuster is a huge box office hit, earning $96.9 million in the U.S. and $225.8 million in the rest of the world with big markets like Japan still to open.
Jessica also stars in A Most Violent Year with Oscar Isaac, due out December 31.
The crime drama is set in New York during winter 1981, statistically one of the most violent years in the city's history, and centers on an immigrant and his family trying to survive the decay and corruption that threatens to destroy all they have built.
