After he stopped wearing his purity ring a few years ago, fans wondered if that meant Nick Jonas was no longer a virgin.

And the singer confirmed that he has indeed had sex, during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Wednesday.

When the talk show host asked him about wearing the ring, the youngest member of the now defunct Jonas Brothers said: 'I don’t regret it. I think it was an important part of my childhood and it was that.

'I think as I grew up, I sort of figured out what was important to me and my own belief system. We all grow up and we all live life and find out what’s important to us, that’s what happened.

'I went on that journey myself and I’m now comfortable with who I am and what I believe in and I’m an adult in all ways.'

Wendy then asked the 22-year-old outright about his virginity, and he was happy to confirm that he is sexually active.

'Am I still a virgin? No, no,' Nick revealed. 'As I said, I’m an adult in all ways and comfortable with who I am.'

The hunk, who is currently in a relationship with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, also 22, has dated Gigi Hadid and Delta Goodrem in recent years, and was romantically linked to Samantha Barks.

As a teenager, Nick had relationships with fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.

The star had not been seen with his purity ring for a long time, but confirmed in September that he is no longer wearing it.

'This is a real growth in me and not something I'm doing anymore,' he told HuffPost Live at the time. 'But I've got my set of values, things that are important to me now at this point in my life and that's all that matters. I've had an incredibly intense journey with faith and religion and my own growth.

'My belief in God is still very strong and important to me as a person and I think that's all that should matter. I grew up in a church environment and still have love for the church.'

Meanwhile, his brother Joe, 25, revealed last year that he stopped wearing his purity ring because he lost his virginity at the age of 20, which was when he was dating Ashley Greene. And oldest brother Kevin, now 27, waited until he got married at the age of 22 before having sex.

While Nick and his beauty queen girlfriend can't get enough of each other, he told Wendy he is in no rush to settle down.

'I’ve got plenty of time. But we’re happy,' he divulged. 'We’re enjoying the ride and growing together and it’s been a pretty insane year and a half – lots of changes in both of our lives. But she’s been a great teammate through all of it.'

Aside from Nick losing his virginity, Wendy also wanted to know about the break-up of the Jonas Brothers and if Kevin and Joe are jealous of their younger sibling, who has a new album out and a role on Kingdom.

'Not that I know of,' the star said. 'Kevin did something I haven’t done and made a baby – that’s pretty amazing. So they’re happy and living life and he’s creating apps and other business – he’s keeping busy. He’s going to be a billionaire very soon. And Joe is DJing a lot and killing it there, and he’s making music now

'I think the good thing for all of us was once that finished, we all had a little bit of time to figure out what we wanted to do. And for me, some opportunity fell into place pretty quickly. And the others have had time to figure that out and I think they’ll take some exciting new steps soon.'

Earlier in the day, Nick appeared on The Meredith Vieira Show where he talked about encouraging Joe to share an image of his face Photoshopped onto Kim Kardashian's naked body.

'That was [Joe’s] idea,' he said, later confirming that he is a 'booty' man. 'We were out in the city the other night and obviously it was the day Kim’s shoot came out and he pulled it up on his phone and said, "Oh my God, someone just sent me this."

'And I said, "You have to post that right now, you have no choice," and he did and I think it’s one of his most liked pictures on Instagram now.'
