She's the cat's meow! Lea Michele shows off svelte figure in backless LBD before cuddling up with her pet feline in Instagram snaps

She’s been busy filming the final season of Glee, but Lea Michele got to enjoy a very relaxing and fulfilling Thanksgiving holiday.

On Sunday, the 28-year-old actress and singer shared snippets of her vacation, including a nature outing with family and cuddle time with her pet cat.

The Glee star hit the outdoors in a backless little black dress that showed off her svelte physique in a collage captioned, 'Perfect weekend! #freshair #family #grateful #nature #rest #relaxation.'

She strode along in flip flops as her dark hair cascaded down her bare back.

In another image captioned ‘Sunday snuggles,’ she is curled up on a couch, wearing her pajamas, with her pet cat in her lap.

A make-up free Lea has her hair swept back in a ponytail and looks remarkably peaceful with her eyes closed.

And on Thursday, Thanksgiving day, Lea Instagrammed a black and white snap with her boyfriend Matthew Paetz and someone who appeared to be her father, Marc Sarfati.

She captioned the laughter-filled candid photo, ‘Love these munchkins... Feeling so grateful today. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone...’

With the sixth and final season of the FOX series set to launch in 2015, the show's creator Ryan Murphy previously hinted at what fans can expect.

The plot will centre around Lea's character Rachel returning from New York 'after a humiliating failure' as she resorts to starting up a new Glee club at McKinley High School in Ohio.

'The final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all,' Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter.

'It really [will be] a lovely, fitting season that ... dwells on the original people that were on the show and what happens to them and how they give back.

He also added that the ending is being rewritten because of original star Cory Monteith’s tragic passing last July from a drug overdose.

It was going to feature Rachel and Finn (Cory) as ‘star-crossed lovers getting together and having a happy ending and them both getting their dreams.’

He added, ‘The fact that that can't be is a big pain in all of our hearts.’

The final 13 episodes of Glee are scheduled to air in 2015, and will be set in the future, following the collapse of Rachel's attempts to make it on Broadway.
