An epic evening: Christian Bale and co-star Maria Valverde bring a touch of glamour to the Exodus: Gods and Kings premiere in London
It's the Biblical epic directed by Ridley Scott everyone has been talking about.
And Christian Bale was the man of the hour at the Exodus: Gods and Kings premiere in London's Leicester Square, where the crowds were out in force on Wednesday evening to catch a glimpse of the handsome 40-year-old star.
The actor was suited and booted and sporting a long haired look and bushy facial hair as he walked the red carpet alongside his wife Sibi Blazic and co-star Maria Valverde.

The Batman begins star plays defiant leader Moses in the epic adventure, who rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves free from his control as well as the country's deadly plagues.
He was joined by his co-star, Spanish actress Maria Valverde, who brought a touch of glamour to the occasion in a Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress featuring white and pink floral sequins.
The 27-year-old beauty's dress wouldn't have looked out of place on a fairytale princess, with studded white and red star detailing and tiered layers on the full skirt.

She wore her brunette locks down loose and opted for sparkling silver jewellery and matching metallic heels.
Also in attendance were leading men Joel Edgerton, who plays Ramses, and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The 70-year-old veteran actor was joined by his wife Daniela Lavender, who braved the cold in a smart navy dress.

Christian was initially nervous about taking on the challenge of playing Biblical figure Moses, but turned to an unlikely source of inspiration when preparing for the role.
'Life of Brian worked as an example of what should be avoided in playing such roles', Bale joked to Reuters.
'It's very easy when you're making a film that has this sort of weight to it, you could unintentionally start making Life of Brian.
'We had takes when it became a bit Monty Python, it was good because we knew we had those red flags.'
