He rose to fame as a clairvoyant child who can see those who have moved on to the afterlife in the 1999 film The Sixth Sense.

But as an adult, the only heavenly body Haley Joel Osment appears to have eyes for his statuesque girlfriend.

The 26-year-old was almost unrecognisable sporting a fuzzy beard as he held hands with his blonde paramour in Venice Beach on Thursday.

Haley was all smiles as he beamed dressed in a black jacket, grey T-shirt, baggy jeans and and a pair of trainers.

He tried to go incoginto with a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap, tinted sunglasses and the furry facial scruff.

The former child star showed good posture as his beauty towered over him while making their way down trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

Haley's leading lady displayed her slender figure casually dressed in a white T-shirt, green Free City sweats and a pair of clunky black platforms.

She had a blonde pixie cut, no makeup on her alabaster skin and a funky pair of round yellow tinted sunglasses.

A black handbag was slung across her shoulder as she kept a firm grip on her boyfriend's hand during their romantic stroll.

The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar at the tender age of 12, recently explained why he took a break from a successful film career to go to college during an appearance on the Today show.

'It was always college,' said Haley, who graduated from NYU's Tisch School Of The Arts. 'My mom's a sixth-grade teacher, so it was never really negotiable. And luckily, I wanted to go to college, too.'

But with his acting career back in high gear, the star recently appeared in Kevin Smith's latest directorial effort Tusk and will soon be seen in the highly anticipated film adaptation of the HBO series Entourage
