At just five-months-old, he may not remember a great deal about his first Christmas but for his doting parents it's sure to be a special one.

Baby Gabriel, son of Kelsey Grammer and wife Kayte, took in his first festive shopping trip at an LA mall on Friday.

And later the Frasier star put his comedic skills to good use entertaining the gorgeous giggling infant as father and son enjoyed a few moments alone in the family car.

The comic actor and his former air hostess wife beamed with seasonal cheer as they strolled the West Hollywood mall.

Contented Gabriel, dressed in a cute red and white romper, looked more than happy to come along for the ride cradled in his mother's arms.

The couple, who also have a two-year-old daughter named Faith, piled up their son's stroller with Christmas provisions, including several roles of wrapping paper.

Kayte, 34, dressed casually in black pants and a grey sweater, also balanced a bulging Barneys carrier bag on the $1500 Stokke pushchair. Her bearded husband walked alongside.

Later Kelsey and Gabriel are seen hanging out together as mommy runs into the stores on Melrose Place.

Father and son share a tender moment with the tot staring into his dad's eyes and giggling before resting on the star's lap.

The 59-year-old, who has a total of six children from four marriages, placed a kiss on his youngest son's cheek.

Kelsey and Kayte met on a Virgin Atlantic flight while he was still married to his third wife, former Playboy model Camille, a star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Although he denied an affair at the time, he later admitted he did cheat on his third wife with Kayte who he married in 2011.

Ultimately, the marriage blew up in front of the cameras on the long running Bravo show.

He told CNN's Anderson Live the following year that it was 'ill advised' to lie to Camille.

'It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, "Listen I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time."

'I regret not doing that,' he said. 'It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us.'
