Into the wild! Jared Leto sports flannel top as he hikes through forested Los Angeles terrain
His rock band has launched a new documentary series entitled Into The Wild.
And perhaps inspired by the name of the venture, Jared Leto embarked on a relaxed trek through the forested Los Angeles terrain on Saturday.
The 42-year-old musician-turned-actor pulled his trademark locks back into a pony tail as he stepped outside for his hike.

Jared stayed warm thanks to his ruby red and black flannel shirt.
He teamed the top with a pair of comfortable blue track pants, as well as a set of black trainers.
The Thirty Seconds To Mars rock star did not appear to be joined by any friends, perhaps opting to enjoy the great outdoors solo.

Meanwhile, Jared's band has released a new documentary series Into The Wild that chronicles their 2010 tour of the same name.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jared said the film immediately follows the events of his 2012 documentary Artifact, which focused on the band as they fought a multimillion dollar lawsuit from record label EMI.
'I think it's the unofficial sequel; the only thing that stops it from being an official sequel is that we're not involved in a $30 million lawsuit this time, and that's a good thing,' Jared told the music magazine.

'This is the story of the Guinness World Record-breaking tour that brought us around the globe three of four times; it's what happens when Artifact left off. Literally. The last shot of the film is the first shot of the series.'
Next up for the multitalented actor, Jared has been cast as The Joker in the upcoming comic book film, Suicide Squad.
Will Smith will portray Deadshot, while model Cara Delevingne will assume the role of Enchantress.
The action flick - which begins shooting in Toronto in April - is due for release August 5 2016.
