Thrill-seeker Neil Patrick Harris gets the adrenaline pumping on family day out at Disney World with husband David and their two children

Neil Patrick Harris tested his thrill-seeking limits during a trip to Disney World alongside his family.

The 41-year-old soared the skyline beside his new husband David Burtka and their two children, Gideon and Harper Grace, on a dinosaur ride at the park's Animal Kingdom.  

Neil had clearly planned his ensemble in advance, having sported a playful Gorilla T-shirt that perfectly fit in with the resort's jungle theme.

The How I Met Your Mother actor teamed his fun top with a flat grey cap, shorts, and stylish sunglasses.

Much like Neil, David went for a wild look as well, pairing his white top with animal print shorts.

At one point, the couple unwound from their busy day of ride hopping with a cool cup of beer.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot in September, looked relaxed as Gideon and Harper sat upon their shoulders. 

While zipping through a more adventurous ride, Neil and David flashed goofy expressions just as the ride came to a close. 

The actor had paid a trip to Disney World to narrate the Candelight Processional, a holiday story that he has previously read to audiences at the resort.

Meanwhile, it was announced in October that Neil will host a new NBC variety show, featuring live comedy skits, musical numbers, game shows and hidden camera pranks on celebrities.

He is also set to host the 2015 Oscars, which he said he is 'thankful' for in an interview with Access Hollywood.

David will also appear with Jessica Lange in the season finale of American Horror Story.

He is set to get a racy storyline with Jessica, who plays Elsa Mars, the owner of a carnival freak show set in 1950s Florida, according to the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy.
