Wenger is the most successful manager in the history of the north London club, having won three Premier League titles and five FA Cups.

But the Frenchman has come under pressure in recent years, after winning just one trophy since 2005 - last season's FA Cup.

Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Stoke sees Arsenal, who have qualified for the Champions League in each of their last 17 seasons under Wenger, sitting in sixth place, three points off the top four after 15 games.

Many fans have called for the manager to leave or be sacked, with some bringing a banner to Arsenal's previous away game, a 1-0 win at West Brom, which said 'Thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye'.
