She was just revealed to be the newest star who will be playing a superhero in the upcoming Netflix series, Jessica Jones.

And Krysten Ritter certainly looked fierce as she attended Ocean Drive Magazine's December Issue launch at the W South Beach hotel in Miami on Friday.

The 32-year-old actress showed off her killer legs in a flashy bright pink mini-dress to celebrate her cover feature.

The high-collared, long-sleeved bright frock cinched her waist and flowed on the bottom.

The Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23 star paired her pink piece with gold-studded heels which coordinated with her petite clutch.

Meanwhile, Krysten's above-the-shoulder raven-coloured locks were styled straight, as her ears were decorated with dangling metallic earrings.

The actress opted for a subtle yet dramatic face, sporting a bit of liner and a slick of pink.

Earlier in the day, it was confirmed Krysten will play the titular character Jessica Jones in Marvel's series.

'Krysten brings both the hard edge and the vulnerability the role demands,' said executive producer and showrunner Melissa Rosenberg in a statement.

'We can’t wait for fans to see her in action, coming to Netflix in 2015,' the Dexter creator continued.

The comic book adaptation follows a superhero who attempts to hang up her cape after years of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder .

When the character tries to start a detective agency, she finds herself helping people and other superheroes.

'As Jessica Jones, Krysten will bring one of the most beloved new characters of the past decade to life in a way we know will delight her longtime fans and introduce her to many more,' executive producer and Marvel’s head of television, Jeph Loeb, added.

Krysten reciprocated her excitement via Twitter on Friday, saying, 'Guys!! I am so completely over the moon & grateful for this opportunity to bring Jessica Jones to life! THANK YOU Melissa Rosenberg, everyone at @marvel @netflix and all of my fans for your support! Wooo! Dream big kiddies!'

Though, things weren't always as great for the star.

‘When I became a model, it gave me some self-esteem and a place to belong. Up until then, my home life was a little rocky and the kids at school would totally pick on me, and then when I became a model, it almost got worse,’ she told Ocean Drive magazine during the interview for her cover feature.
