Top three must-sees

The Amazing Snakeheads

The Amazing Snakeheads Vying with Death Grips and The Haxan Cloak for the title of “act we’d least like to meet down a dark alley”, Glasgow trio The Amazing Snakeheads are responsible for some of the most amazingly menacing music in the UK right now. Their full-length debut is a fearsome brew of psycho-blues and unapologetically-grubby garage rock, accentuated further by front man Dale Barclay’s barely-contained, Begbie-like aggression. Catch them on the BBC Introducing Stage on Saturday.

Disclosure

Disclosure Still buzzing from an incendiary gig at Glastonbury, Grammy-nominees Disclosure will be bringing T’s Radio 1 Stage to a close on the Sunday night. Expect hands-aloft house underpinned by deep grooves, and possibly a sprinkling of A-list guest vocalists. As ever, poppers are optional.

Charli XCX

Charli XCXIn our humble opinion, Charli XCX’s hook-heavy debut was one of the most chronically underrated albums of 2013. She’s set to share the follow-up at some point this year and, if her recent collaborations with Icona Pop and Iggy Azaela are anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be even stronger. Get your electro-pop fix at her set on the Main Stage on Friday.
