And it seems like Joe Manganiello engaged in a bit of retail therapy to help ease the pain as he was spotted during a shopping trip in West Hollywood on Thursday.

The 37-year-old star displayed a large plastic and metal arm brace as he gripped onto several bag which contained his purchases from the John Varvatos retail store with his non-injured hand.

As Joe is an avid fitness buff who is constantly seen getting his pump on at the gym, no doubt his lifting routine has been affected as his arms looked considerably less muscular on the outing.

Perhaps not getting those endrophins up from working out has affected the star as he looked a little downtrodden while heading to his black SUV in the LA neighbourhood.

The actor went casual on the outing as he donned a black Adidas puffer vest over a grey T-shirt, ripped blue jeans and green Timberland boots.

He finished off the look with his short, black locks elegantly disheveled and a bit of scruff on his face.

During an appearance on Conan O'Brien's talk show on Tuesday, the Joe's girlfriend Sofia Vergara revealed that her hunky beau managed to injure himself doing one of his more extreme moves while filming the sequel to 2012's Magic Mike.

The 42-year-old star said: 'It’s dangerous to be a stripper. I thought it was just fun and games, but no.

'He had a problem with his arm because he was doing some crazy stripper routine.'

Ripped: No doubt Joe is having a rough time with the injury as he is is a bit of a gym buff, he is often seem getting his pump on as he shared a picture on Twitter of him lifting weights in September

She continued: 'The girl he was with doing the [stripping] for, did something wrong and things went wrong so he got hurt.'

A rep for Joe also confirmed to People last week that the injury happened on the Savannah, Georgia set adding: 'It will be back to normal in a few months.'

Things certainly seem to be getting serious between the couple as recently the Modern Family star candidly discussed the potential for marriage sometime in the future.

Sofia told Extra: 'Yeah, of course. I mean, I believe in love, I believe in being happy. I got married…24 years ago…So it would be a lot of fun to do it again.

'It would be the second trip down the aisle for the star, who married her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez at the age of 18.

The Modern Family actress was definitely not ready for marriage earlier this year as she called off her two-year-engagement with Nick Loeb back in May before dating Joe.
