Comedian Amy Schumer takes over MTV's social media to cheekily announce she'll host next year's Movie Awards
Amy Schumer is set to host the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
And she's already off to a successful start, as the 33-year-old comedienne strategically took over MTV's social media accounts on Wednesday - amusing fans while making her exciting announcement.
The blonde kicked off with a selfie snap on Instagram, teasing, 'MTV, I am @AmySchumer and I effing own you…I'm taking over this account. Does anyone have gum? P.S. Big announcement coming at 9!'

Amy followed up by teasing her fans with a series of witty quips, memes, videos, and pictures poking fun of herself on Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, Tumblr, and Instagram.
Finally, the stand-up comedian/writer/actress gave her big reveal.
'Thanks for the takeover! I'll see you 4/12/15 when I host the @MTV #MovieAwards! - @amyschumer #movieawardshost,' she wrote on Instagram with a picture of herself and the MTV golden popcorn award, as well as multiple cheerful emojis.

The Trainweck star also shared a video of herself excitedly announcing, 'I'm hosting the MTV Movie Awards April 12, 2015! Woo!'
The funny lady's takeover marked the first time a single person has handled all of MTV's social media accounts.
Amy's news comes two days after Deadline announced the Emmy nominee will be producing a new Comedy Central pilot starring fellow comedian Rachel Feinstein, who has appeared on several episodes of Inside Amy Schumer.

The series is set to 'explore and skewer gender, class, and stereotypical issues in sketch and character-driven pieces.'
The 2015 MTV Movie Awards will air on Sunday, April 12, live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Previous hosts have included Australian funny lady Rebel Wilson and TV personality Conan O'Brien.
