Cor van der Weele is a bioethicist and philosopher with the Department of Applied Philosophy at Wageningen University. Cor studied biology at the University of Utrecht and philosophy at the universities of Utrecht and Groningen. Her PhD thesis, Images of Development; Environmental Causes in Ontogeny dealt with developmental biology where biology, philosophy of science and ethics meet. Cor’s present placement finds her at the intersection of biology and philosophy, with special research interests in metaphor and selective attention, genetics, genomics, and cultured meat.
Cor has published work on cultured meat, including the recent Emerging Profiles for Cultured Meat; Ethics through and as Design.
