They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so US model Tyson Beckford must be over the moon that his 23-year-old girlfriend has started dressing like him.

The couple went out in Sydney on Friday night to celebrate Tyson's 44th birthday and 23-year-old girlfriend Shanina Shaik proved her love for him by wearing bright green dress to match his natty lime blazer.

The power-dressing couple posed together for a series of happy snaps which Shanina posted to her Instagram page.

'Love you long time!' Shanina Shaik wished boyfriend Tyson Beckford a happy birthday and posted a photo of the couple wearing matching lime green outfits

In one photo Shanina hugs Tyson, who is wearing a patterned lime green jacket, from behind as she pouts at the camera, while he looks very happy, smiling from ear to ear.

'Happy Birthday Honey,' she wrote,'loveyoulongtime, happybirthday'.

The couple have been enjoying their time together in Australia, with Melbourne-born Shanina picking up her hunky beau from the airport in tiny white shorts on Thursday.

The couple put on a raunchy PDA and after exchanging welcome pleasantries moved on to Bondi Beach where they enjoyed lunch at North Bondi Fish and frolicked in the ocean.

Earlier this month Shanina graced the hallowed runway of the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show in London.

And since arriving back in Australia Shanina, who has been mixing both business and pleasure, did a photo-shoot for Just Jeans on Monday, posting a behind the scenes snap to Instagram.

Speaking on Sunrise the former Make Me A Supermodel star said: 'I don't really see Tyson...as a model (more so) as a boyfriend.'

'Probably the benefit of dating him is that he guides me and supports me because he knows the business quite well,' she continued, adding: 'We're like any other couple, very normal.'

Tyson and Shanina met on Australian TV competition Make Me a Supermodel in 2008.
