Same sex marriages became legal in England back in March, and Elton John and David Furnish have no doubt been planning a lavish wedding ever since.

So unsurprisingly the couple wanted to spend their special day, which coincided with their nine-year anniversary, with friends, family and of course their many A-List pals.

Victoria and David Beckham were among the first guests seen driving through the pair's impressive Windsor estate, while accompanied by their three youngest children.

Shady lady: The fashion designer kept her sunglasses on as they made their way into the grounds

The fashion designer kept her large, dark sunglasses firmly on as they drove past photographers, while seemingly clad in a classic, black dress.

Her footballer beau, as well as their two sons Romeo, 12, and Cruz, nine, matched their father in smart white shirts.

Even little Harper, three, was invited, however there was no sign of David and Victoria's eldest son, Brooklyn, 15, who is also Elton's godson.

Ed Sheeran was seen arriving in a chauffeur-driven car while looking dapper in a dark suit and black tie.

Hugh Grant was pictured in a pair of tortoiseshell glasses and a pale blue shirt for the ceremony, which comes nine years after Elton and David entered into a civil partnership.

Comedian David Walliams was joined by his stunning wife Lara Stone for the day, who wore her long blonde tresses down and straight.

The 31-year-old model, who was enjoying a day off from looking after the couple's son Alfred, also sported a black jacket however she brightened up her ensemble with a kahki dress, complete with ruched neckline.

Elizabeth Hurley was among the most enthusiastic attendees, tweeting a photo of herself and her son Damian, 12 prior to the exchanging of vows.

As she beamed at the camera for the fun selfie, the actress, who was dressed in cream lace and aviator shades, told fans: 'On our way to Elton and David's wedding. V excited #ShareTheLove'.

Jimmy Carr took to Twitter to wish the couple well, writing: #ShareTheLove at the beautiful wedding of two beautiful people. Wishing Elton & David every happiness.'

Elton and David were so eager for the whole world to share in their happiness they posted pictures to their Instagram pages throughout the ceremony alongside the hashtag sharethelove.

Nothing was held back, with pictures beginning in the morning of the pair making the union official as they signed their legal documents, right up to the sweet moment they said their vows.

And the couple's sons and ring-bearers got in on the action, with Zachary even taking a picture of Elijah during the ceremony, which was promptly uploaded.
