New details have emerged online for Tales Of Zestiria, the upcoming new entry of the Tales Of series launching next month in Japan exclusively on PlayStation 3.
In a recent interview, Hideo Baba, the series’ producer, has confirmed that Rose is an “accompanying character” who is also playable, a definition that makes her feel like other accompanying characters from previous games who weren’t actually playable like Elle from Tales Of Xillia 2, Claire from Tales Of Rebirth and others. Apparently there’s a good reason why she is playable and able to use Kamui and everything will be made clear in the game. Baba san also revealed in the same interview that the team didn’t want to show Rose in the pre-release marketing in the beginning. She also wasn’t going to be included in the animation.
Around a week ago Tales Of Zestiria has received a brand new trailer focused on the game’s story and characters. Unfortunately the trailer only includes a very quick gameplay sequence, showcasing Rose’s Kamui ability.
Tales Of Zestiria will be released on January 22nd in Japan on PlayStation 3. According to Hideo Baba, the series’ producer, the game will be released by Summer 2015 in North America and Europe, making its localization one of the fastest in the series’ history. A precise release date, however, has yet to be confirmed.
