Alison Pill broke the news that she's engaged on Saturday in an Instagram posting.

The Newsroom actress flashed a huge engagement ring while cosying up to beau Joshua Leonard in the snap she shared with her nearly 2,000 followers.

'Let's do this, 2015!!!!', Alison wrote in the caption.

The 29-year-old Canadian actress smiled while showing her new ring with Joshua amid a bright day requiring sunglasses at Joshua Tree National Park in California.

Alison portrayed young producer Maggie Jordan on HBO's political drama The Newsroom created by Aaron Sorkin.

She previously had a featured role in the 2008 biopic Milk starring Sean Penn.

Alison also portrayed Zelda Fitzgerald in the 2011 Woody Allen romantic comedy fantasy film Midnight In Paris.

The film starring Chris Evans has been critically acclaimed and has earned nearly $87 million at the worldwide box office with strong sales on demand.

Alison also portrayed a teacher in the comedy horror film Cooties.

Alison previoiusly dated actor Jay Baruchel, 32, and they were engaged before splitting in February 2013.
