'Have a burger to stay sane!' Gigi Hadid reveals she refuses to give up her favourite treats as she attacks modeling industry's pressure to be 'too thin'

Her striking good looks and major fashion campaigns have sealed her status as a model on the rise.

But Gigi Hadid has revealed she refuses to bow to the pressure to give up eating her favorite foods.

'I'm all for one month of going really hard and eating really healthy and boxing every day if you're doing it for like one job,' she told E! News.

'But I've always said, "Eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane"'.

The beauty explained that when she was signed by her agency IMG, she was adamant about not going to extreme measures to change her size.

'I want to work with people that want to work with me and how my body is,' she told E!

'I'll be fit. I've always been an athlete my whole life but there's one thing I will not even do if it means turning away a dream of mine and that is to be too thin.'

Her philosophy seems to be working.

Gigi, whose mother is Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster - a former model, has posed for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue and Guess. She was recently named the face of Maybeline.

It’s safe to say that it has been a good start to 2015 for Gigi Hadid. A couple of weeks ago she was announced as the new face of Maybelline, and last week she was named as Model Of The Year at The Daily Front Row Fashion Awards.

Attending the event with her boyfriend Cody Simpson, Gigi looked sensational in a bodycon asymmetric maxi dress, which she teamed with barely there sandals and a box clutch.

We’re loving this look on Gigi, the shape shows off her curves, meanwhile the coral color compliments her skin tone perfectly.

Gigi’s dress is part of Calvin Klein’s spring 2015 collection but is unfortunately not yet available to buy.

The knockout maintains her physique with a rigorous exercise program under the instruction of her personal trainer Rob Piela, whose 'runway-ready workout' has attracted many Victoria's Secret models.

On Monday she shared a snap of her workout session with her trainer at Gotham Gym, where Hugh Jackman pumps iron. 

'(Happy Birthday) to the man behind Gotham Gym, the guy who makes up for my love of burgers and pasta.,' she tweeted. 'My fam away from home!'

The girlfriend of Australian singer Cody Simpson was a captain of Malibu High School's volleyball team during her senior year.

In fact, she rewarded herself with a treat from fast food chain In-N-Out Burger after a competition, captioning an image of a trophy and her meal: 'A damn good day. #winning #malibuvolleyball #innout.'
