Timothy John Williams

Timothy John Williams, 76, of Mayfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Mountain Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 25, 1938, in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Clarence and Jennie Spencer Williams. Timothy grew up in Piseco and attended Wells High School. He went on to attend Cornell University, graduating in 1961 with a bachelor's in biology.

Timothy was an avid photographer, publishing and distributing scenic view postcards throughout the state.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Beth Williams of Gloversville; son, Brian Williams (Lauren) of Hamden, CT; daughters, Bridget Dudzik (Michael) of Walden, NY, and Stacy Gatto (Greg) of Pelham, NY; grandchildren, Jack Dudzik and Brooke Gatto; brother, Clarence Williams (Karen) of Ft. White, FL, and sisters, Birdella Owens of Boonville, NY, and Emily Anderson (James) of Berea, KY. Timothy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, with the Rev. Dr. RW Williams officiating. Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015, from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Spring burial will take place at Union Rural Cemetery in Mayfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Timothy's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice House, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
