File a bankruptcy notice of appeal pro se if you are approaching the 14 day deadline to appeal from a bankruptcy court order and do not have time to hire Alex Wathen before the deadline is up. Note that while this buys you time and preserves the right to appeal there are other things you must do including but not limited to filing an election to have the appeal heard by a District Court in places with an consumer unfriendly Bankruptcy Appellate Panel such as the Ninth Circuit. This notice must be filed at the same time as the notice of appeal or the right to have the appeal heard by a District Court is waived. Also within 14 days of the filing of the notice of appeal there is also a Designation of Record on Appeal and Statement of Issues on Appeal due and you should also order a transcription of any hearings by the court reporter. It is best to consult with an attorney because there are a lot more things you should be mindful of too.
