National Center on Deafness

The NCOD provides communication access, leadership opportunities, scholarships and direct communication classes for approximately 200 students who are deaf and hard of hearing each year. Registering with the National Center on Deafness allows students to receive services such as interpreting, speech-to-text transcription, note taking, tutoring and academic advisement. You can also check out the complete list of events and job opportunities available at the NCOD.

We offer information for all prospective and current students and can provide guidance in applying for admission to CSUN. The NCOD's students can take advantage of a variety of social and leadership opportunities. The Deaf CSUNians is a student organization whose purpose is to provide cultural, political and social awareness among the members, the campus and the community.

The NCOD's influence reaches beyond campus. We provide information and training for service providers, professionals, families, teens, alumni and managers in knowledge, skills and leadership development.

If you’re deaf or hard of hearing and are interested in learning more about the programs and services offered at CSUN, please contact us at ncod@csun.edu
