Rob Kardashian's ex Adrienne Bailon announces engagement to longtime boyfriend on her chat show The Real

Adrienne Bailon caused a stir when she opened up about cheating ex Rob Kardashian in Latina Magazine back in July.

But the 31-year-old seems to have moved past the pain - and backlash from his sisters - as she announced her engagement on an upcoming episode of The Real.

She surprised co-hosts by sharing the news that longtime boyfriend Lenny Santiago had popped the question.

Rob and Adrienne dated for two years from 2007-2009, and the former Cheetah Girls star admitted in a July 2014 interview with Latina Magazine that people still give her a hard time for ending things with the reality star.

‘In my situation, it wasn't like, “Oh my God! I made a mistake!”’ she admitted. ‘He strategically planned things out so that he could cheat on me, and that to me was so disloyal.’

She also shared that she regretted appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, fearing it hurt her career, as well as a tattoo of Rob's name - that she finally had removed the same month as the magazine interview.

Since her split with Rob in 2009 Adrienne has been seeing Senior Vice President of A&R, Artist Management at Roc Nation, Lenny Santiago.

He is also manager to hip-hop artist Fabolous and a renowned celebrity photographer under the moniker KodakLens.

On the upcoming episode of The Real, Adrienne shares that Lenny brought her out to a nice dinner with family on a recent trip home to New York where he popped the question, but not before playing a little prank.

According to E! Online, he told the television personality that he had a special gift for her, but she was then surprised when he presented her with a box full of... carrots.

However, she happily accepted them anyway, and once she did, he responded with: 'Well, since you said yes to those carrots...' and got on one knee to propose with a stunning diamond ring.

Adrienne recounts the story to her co-hosts Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton, and Tamera Mowry, after shocking them with the news.

The co-hosts were flipping through magazines as part of the show's Turn the Page segment, but suddenly Adrienne stopped, exclaiming that a story wasn't included.

'It's not in here, you know why? Because no one knows,' she said, smiling sneakily before finally flashing her giant sparkler to her stunned co-hosts.

The rest of the ladies immediately freaked out for their friend, with Loni darting over to wrap her up in an embrace.

The episode of The Real with Adrienne's big announcement airs Monday.
