Oh no Steve O! Jackass star is the latest victim of The Jump narrowly missing out to Jon-Allen Butterworth and Chloe Madeley

He may have no fear but Steve O didn't have the skill to carry him through to the final of The Jump.

The Jackass star was the ninth celebrity to leave the show after narrowly losing out to Chloe Maedley and Jon-Allen Butterworth in the final air jump.

The three landed themselves in the firing line after coming last in the losers' race of the ski-cross.

Chloe Madley went first, followed by Steve O and then Jon Allen who all got around the 6.6m mark.

Sadly for Steve O, who desperately wanted to compete in the snowboarding, his was the lowest jump of 6.57m.

The event of the night was the most athletically demanding sport of the competition so far.

The eight left were split into two groups of four who went head to head in the most aggressive sport the celebrities have taken part in - ski-cross.

With half of the contestants left being athletes there was fighting talk all round.

The first group taking to the slope was named 'The Group of Death' and contained Jackass star Steve O, Made In Chelsea girl Louise Thompson, JLS singer JB Gill and rugby legend Mike Tyndall.

Tensions were high as Steve O said, 'I'm told that it's not proper to bump into people, but you're more likely to win if you do. So it's basically rugby on skis.'

Meanwhile Tyndall laid it out: 'Anyone who's in the way gets moved'

As the four of them got out there, it wasn't long until the first crash.

Confident skier Louise ended up in the netting, severely winded and Mike Tyndall took the victory.

The second group had Joey Essex, Chloe Madeley, Jon-Allan Butterworth and Louise Hazel.

No one could predict the winner of the second race as Joey Essex led from the start.

How did he do it? He told Davina: 'I've had a load of chocolate and a banana and apparently it gives you loads of energy.'

The pair then had to check their times to see who had managed to grab the newly introduced golden ticket which got them place directly into the final.

Mike got himself the fastest time and was strangely unhappy as it means he'll skip the snowboarding round.

In the third and final race the slowest four took to the slopes again.

Louise Thompson brushed herself off after her crash and was very fast out of the gates. She confidently won the race and even got a faster time than Mike.

The remaining contestants will take on snowboarding tomorrow.
