It was revealed earlier this week that she had split from husband Giovanni Ribisi after two and a half years of marriage.

But Agyness Deyn put on a brave face as she headed out in public for the first time since details of the former couple's impending divorce were announced.

Strolling solo through New York's Soho District on Friday, the 31-year-old model went make-up free as she headed out for the day.

Displaying her naturally striking looks and flawless complexion, the British beauty wrapped up against the winter chill in a cosy-looking fur-lined parka and a charcoal grey beanie hat.

In spite of her recent romantic woes, the catwalk queen-turned-actress looked perfectly content as she slowly ambled along.

Details of the couple's split came to light earlier this week when it was revealed they are set to divorce after just two and a half years of marriage.

According to TMZ Giovanni, 40, filed papers in January but the couple have been separated since December 28.

The Saving Private Ryan actor cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Giovanni and British model Agyness married in a surprise ceremony in June 2012.

At the time, her relatives were said to be stunned by the secret union, which was low-key and took place at Los Angeles County Registrar.

In 2013 the model explained their whirlwind wedding to InStyle magazine: 'I don’t know. I suppose you meet someone and you’re just like… you know.

'Obviously, if someone’s marrying someone, they’re bringing a lot of really good stuff... So...'

She also downplayed her hubby's religion, Scientology, when she talked to Interview magazine the same year saying: 'I just think it's funny because no one really ever asked me about religion before.

'No one was like, "What's it like going out with a Christian?" Now people ask me about it. Maybe it's because it's a new religion and people are curious about it. I don't know - my husband is an amazing man.'

Agyness, 31, swapped modelling for acting in 2012 and just finished filming the period drama Sunset Song in which she plays Chris Guthrie, the daughter of a Scottish farmer who comes of age in the early 1900s.

She also recently starred in Electricity in which she plays Lily O'Connor, a Northerner with epilepsy and a tough past.

Giovanni meanwhile recently worked on Meadowland alongside Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson and also starred in Results with Cobie Smulders and Guy Pearce which screened at last month's Sundance Festival.
