She had a well documented struggle with drug abuse which ultimately ended her Baywatch days.

But now, almost 20 years on from her role in the famous red swimsuit, Yasmine Bleeth looks the picture of health.

The 46-year-old former actress was spotted in Hollywood on Saturday in sneakers and work-out pants taking a stroll with her husband, Paul Cerrito.

Yasmine, who played Caroline Holden in the long running show, looked happy and relaxed alongside her strip club owning husband who she met in rehab in 1997.

Dressed casually in cropped, Lycra leggings and sneakers, and with a baggy grey vest under a striped cardigan, the reclusive star looked a far cry from her modelling heyday.

For every year between 1996 and 2001, the beauty made FHM's 100 Sexiest Women In The World list.

At one point she even had her own line of lingerie.

But she stepped out of the public eye after coccaine addiction destroyed her TV career and lost her the coveted Baywatch role when she was fired in 1997.

In a 2012 interview with Esquire, the show's producer Douglas Schwartz explained why she was let go from the cast.

'We had one issue with Yasmine Bleeth, who was doing drugs at the time.

'And so we were dealing with Yasmine not showing up and having difficulties, again with men.

'That's why we let Yasmine go off the show: because it was too difficult to deal with her after awhile.'

In a 2003 essay she wrote for Glamour magazine, she admitted that her cocaine habit was so severe that she once collapsed at a photo shoot and went without sleep for five days at a time.

Adding that: 'consciously trying to stay off drugs is now part of my life and always will be.'

Since successfully battling her demons, Yasmine - who once dated Matthew Perry - has kept out of the public eye, photographed only very occasionally.

But she has undertaken extensive work to raise money for breast cancer research after losing her mother to the disease when she was only 20.
