The look of love: Pregnant Keira Knightley gets an adoring glance from her supportive husband James Righton as he goes in for a kiss at the BAFTAs

She's clearly still in the heady throes of honeymoon phase-style love with her husband James Righton.

And Keira Knightley didn't hold back as she attended the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday evening, going in for a kiss with her man as she waited ahead of the ceremony.

The actress - who is currently pregnant with the couple's first child - leant in for a smooch with her biggest supporter, who sat beside her at the prestigious Royal Opera House before the show began.

Rocker James - of musical group the Klaxons - appeared completely bowled over by his gorgeous wife, who had wowed on the red carpet earlier in the evening in her monochrome ensemble.

Keira was nominated for a BAFTA Award for her role in The Imitation Game, in the Supporting Actress category, and James was no doubt trying to calm her nerves before the winners were revealed.

And, looking just like any smitten couple on a night out together, they sat close together and flicked through the awards show program, chatting away animatedly.

'Am I in there?' Keira looked to be asking her man to flick through the program to check out her name

Keira nailed maternity chic once again as she sashayed down the red carpet before going inside the splendid London venue to take her seat.

The pregnant actress chose to cover up her baby bump in a Giambattista Valli tulle dress, causing the crowd to look on in delight as she posed for the cameras.

While Keira initially kept warm in a black leather jacket, she soon removed her outwear to showcase her stunning strapless gown while posing on the red carpet.

The ceremony is the biggest night for British film in the showbiz calendar, awarding gongs across 24 categories.

And Keira was seen helping to make sure her husband was looking picture perfect as she adjusting his white pocket square as they waited to pose together.

This year's awards season has presented an extra challenge for Keira now that she's expecting her first child.

Speaking recently to ELLE about her maternity style, she said: 'People do wear tight things when they're pregnant. I don't really go for that.'

'Does it [being pregnant] make it harder? It just means that you're not going to wear anything tight. Actually, the waist has disappeared, so I can't do that.'

Shown exclusively on BBC One and BBC HD from 9pm, the show was opened by long-running host Stephen Fry, who has presented the show for the last ten years.

The newly married television personality was joined by actor Sam Claflin a week earlier to disclose the nominations to the public.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is expected to be the big winner, with 11 nominations in total while Julianne Moore is the favourite to win for her role in (Still Alice).

Historical thriller The Imitation Game has a commendable nine nominations, and is centred around British pioneering computer scientist Alan Turing, and tells the story of his life and work in cracking Nazi Germany's Enigma Code in 1939.

As well as Benedict Cumberbatch's Leading Actor and Keira Knightley's Supporting Actress nominations, it's also up for the prestigious Best Film, Outstanding British Film and Adapted Screenplay.

The film with the biggest haul, though, is Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, which has earned itself 11 nominations, including Best Film, Leading Actor (Ralph Fiennes) and Director.
