'I love you deep': Beyonce shares sweet smooch with husband Jay-Z before accepting best R&B performance award in low-cut black Proenza Schouler gown

She took home her third award of the night.
And there was no better person to be the first to congratulate Beyonce than her beloved husband and frequent collaborator Jay-Z.
The 33-year-old star took home the Grammy Award for best R&B performance when she shared a sweet kiss with her 45-year-old rapper before receiving the award for their collaboration titled Drunk In Love.

When Beyonce took the stage to accept the gong from Smokey Robinson, she got a little sentimental as she sent a message to her husband and their three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
She said: 'I'd like to thank my beloved husband. I love you deep. My daughter who's watching, Blue, I love you.'
Before the heartfelt message to her family members she thanked her fans, who she affectionately refers to as the Beyhive, as she said: 'Wow, thank you guys so much. This is such an honor.

Later on in the evening, Beyonce took the stage to perform a gospel song written by Reverend Thomas A. Dorsey titled Take My Hand Precious Lord during a tribute to civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King's epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

She was introduced by host LL Cool J and her gal pal Gwyneth Paltrow, who said Beyonce's mother used to sing the Crazy In Love singer the hymn when she was a child.
Beyonce was dressed in all white including a see-through choir robe over a sheer white gown featuring a blinged out detailing.
It may have been a solo performance, but she was accompanied by male backing singers who also donned all white while performing the hymn.

At the end of the song, Beyonce continued the Selma tribute by introducing the next performers as she said: 'Reminding us once more of the glory of music, ladies and gentlemen John Legend and Common.'
The Halo hitmaker was already a winner before even stepping into the building as she donned a long cleavage-bearing black custom Proenza Schouler gown featuring plenty of sequins and sheer panels.
The Single Ladies hitmaker's blonde locks were worn down into waves flowing over her shoulders as she had natural, complimentary make-up on her face highlighted by a swipe of shiny nude lip.

Coming in to the ceremony, the Destiny's Child member was up for an impressive six awards at the event including album of the year, which she later lost to Beck.
Even more impressive may be the fact that the singer is now the most nominated female in Grammy history with this year bringing her total nods to 54.
She along with Sam Smith and Pharrell were the Grammy leaders with six nominations apiece. The show aired live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

She was actually already a two-time winner before even arriving at the event as she tallied up another for her self-titled album's surround mastering and mix engineers as well as sound producer.
'This is really humbling' said engineer Elliot Scheiner, also thanking Beyonce for 'great music to mix.'
The release of Beyonce's latest album was an innovative, fresh and risky approach to an album launch in an ever-changing industry suffering from lower album sales, yet continuously growing in the streaming business.

The event - held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles - saw approximately 70 awards handed out to recipients in front of a star-studded crowd.
Jay-Z's protege Kanye West performed with Rihanna and Paul McCartney for their new single FourFiveSeconds at the event.
The show marked Kanye's return after six years. He's won 21 Grammys and was nominated for two awards, including Best Rap song and Rap/Sung collaboration for Bound 2 with Charlie Wilson.
The bash featured a number of other collaborative performances, including Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett and Adam Levine with Gwen Stefani.
