SotM 2014 and local events

Conference goers, we have lift-off! Yes folks, it's that time of year when the State of the Map Organising Committee spring in to action to organise the next international State of the Map conference. This year we are also delighted to hear that the OpenStreetMap conference season will also include the return of locally organised events in France, the US and the EU.

State of the Map 2014

After being in Europe, North America and Asia, it is time to explore yet another continent. The OpenStreetMap Foundation happy to announce that the 8th international State of the Map 2014 conference will be held in:

• Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 7th–9th

OSM is a truly global project with people all over the globe. Having SotM14 in Argentina is a great way to show the world what’s going on in South America regarding OSM and it can help strengthen the local OSM communities there.

SotM-{@} events in 2014

In addition to the 8th international State of the Map, the following SotM-{@} events are being organised by local communities across the world:

• SotM-FR in Paris, France, April 4th–6th
• SotM-US in Washington DC, April 12th–13th
• SotM-EU in Karlsruhe, Germany, June 13th–15th

Both the international and locally organised events are open to all irrespective of where you live and work. We encourage you to attend any or all of these conferences as they are a fantastic way to meet like-minded people, and build relationships with the OpenStreetMap community.
