'I hate boring fashion!' Charli XCX dresses in bizarre androgynous eighties style suit featuring furry wrap at Grammy Awards

She's known for her unconventional fashion choices, but she made a not so Fancy statement at music's biggest night.

Charli XCX ditched the conventional dress for an androgynous white suit at the Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The British songbird, who is nominated for two gongs, donned a quirky eighties style Moschino penguin tuxedo jacket complete with a ruffled white dress shirt and pink bow tie.

However, the most bizarre element of the 22-year-old singer/songwriter's kitschy outfit had to be her furry sleeves.

Her white fur accessory appeared to be a wrap of some sort that covered her torso with dangling sleeves of animal skin.

Charli - real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison - channeled a prom-esque ensemble wearing a satin blazer and matching white trousers.

She color coordinated her glittery pink high heels with her bright pink bow tie for an added pop of whimsy.

Her peculiar look shocked many on the red carpet including E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic.

During the network's pre-show interview, her outfit left Rancic almost speechless.

'You really stepped outside of the box!' exclaimed the fan favorite host.

Charli responded to Giuliana's shock and awe saying: 'I hate boring fashion... I wanted to do something eighties and fabulous. I like unpredictable.'

And if any award ceremony was the place to take risks, the Grammy Awards is certainly the place for unpredictable fashion.

While getting ready for her big night, Charli tweeted to her 921,000 followers on Twitter.

'Heading to @TheGRAMMYs & i'm so happy i'll be seeing @HAIMtheband @jesse_belief @arielrechtshaid @iggyazalea and @samsmithworld there too,' she wrote.

Adding: 'Also i can't wait to see kanye, rihanna and paul perform tonight'
