Gigi Hadid is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the world of modeling.

And on Sunday the 19-year-old showed off her fashion credentials by sporting an embroidered cape while out in New York City.

The recent Model of the Year winner looked chic as she shopped solo in the East Village following her shoot in Mexico for Australian swimwear brand Seafolly.

Gigi sported a form-fitting black tank top, which she had tucked into a pair of dark wash skinny jeans that showed off the model's toned figure.

She also donned a sleek black leather jacket, and a coordinating black leather belt with a large silver buckle.

The IMG model finished off her leather look by tucking her skinny jeans into a pair of heeled black ankle booties.

The blonde beauty bundled up by adding a final layer in a chic Stella McCartney embroidered cape coat.

Her long blonde locks were styled straight for the outing, and she hid her eyes behind a pair of black, reflective cat eye sunglasses.

She was spotted toting a large silver backpack on her trip, as well as large black bags from her shopping.

The girlfriend of Australian singer Cody Simpson has been on a roll lately, being named Model of the Year at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in January.

She also recently starred in a racy new campaign for Guess, was announced as a Maybelline ambassador, and became the new face of Australian swimwear brand Seafolly.

She also appears on the cover of the March issue of Teen Vogue, and took to Instagram to celebrate the news, sharing: 'Dreams are coming true, TIMES TWO!!!!! So excited to be able to share one of my two March issue covers of @TeenVogue!'
