Traffic stopping: Joy Villa left very little to the imagination when she opted for this bright orange plastic monstrosity, designed by Andre Soriano

Sack the stylist: Whoever told Joy it might be a good idea to opt for a lavender-colored thong underneath her barely-there garment must have been having a giggle

Frock horror: Madonna's ample chest was spilling out of her disastrous Givenchy burlesque get-up, complete with corset, leather gloves, fishnet stockings, and thigh-high boots - and she even treated photographers to a shot of her thong-clad derriere 

Risk taker: In fairness to the Material Girl, she didn't get where she is today by playing it safe

Pepto-abysmal: Barbadian beauty Rihanna, 26, resembled a giant cupcake when she arrived swamped in a frothy lurid pink Giambattista Valli creation

Hazard: Running late, the singer struggled to walk into the show in the heavy gown, and had to continually pull the dress up to avoid a wardrobe malfunction

Powderpuff pink: The strapless empire line dress featured a tiny satin bustier with plaited silver embellishment before exploding into a voluminous textured skirt that fell into separate layers

Faux pas: British crooner Charli XCX, 22, turned up in a shiny Pink Panther-esque Moschino tuxedo and powder pink faux fur shrug

Word: When Giuliana Rancic told Charli XCX that she has 'really stepped outside the box', the Boom Clap singer replied, 'I hate boring fashion. I wanted to so something 80s and fabulous. I like unpredictable'

Putting the red into red carpet: Flame-haired ex-Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones, 30, made sure she stood out with her ruffled black gown - and the yards of fabric that trailed behind it

Daring: The dress was hitched up to just below the knee and accessorized with garish jewelry and heavy make-up 

Matching: Dance Moms starlet Maddie Ziegler, 12, (left) turned up with Australian songstress Sia, 39, (right) and the duo co-ordinated their bizarre outfits.

At least she can't see her haters: Both wore monochrome pantsuits with enormous choppy white wigs

Odd pair: Pharell Williams and his designer wife, Helen Lasichanh, turned up in equally odd ensembles. Whilst he opted for a white short suit, she wore a taupe Adidas all in one
