Sarah Silverman bundles up in a beanie and TWO jackets to brave chilly New York weather as she steps out with laundry bag

She may be one of the most successful comics working today, but she still has to run errands.

And on Monday Sarah Silverman bundled up in not one but two jackets as she stepped out in sub-zero New York City carrying a bag of laundry.

The 44-year-old star also wore a large beanie and knee-high boots.

Recently star caused a stir with her surprising turn as a drug-addled, depressed mother in I Smile Back, which premiered at Sundance. That may be why she was smiling despite the chilly weather.

Sarah sported a heavy navy blue peacoat, which she sported over top of a hooded, puffy black jacket. 

She coupled that with a pair of navy blue sweatpants, which she had tucked into a pair of knee-high rain boots.

She finished off her wintry look by bundling up in a light blue beanie, under which her long dark locks were styled straight. 

The comedienne was also spotted carrying a large black backpack as she stood on the side of the road, trying to hail a cab.

It appeared she was headed to the dry cleaners, as she was seen clutching a bag of laundry as she waited.

Despite having her hands full, the friendly star was spotted taking a photograph with a fan as she waited for a cab. 

Recently Sarah has been garnering attention for her risque dramatic role in Sundance film I Smile Back.

She stars as Laney Brooks, a bipolar housewife who tries to forget her unhappiness with alcohol, cocaine, and self-destructive extramarital affairs. 

When asked why the comedienne starred in such a dark film, she replied: 'Why wouldn't I? What am I - busy?' before adding: 'Usually I need to generate my own stuff, but when stuff comes my way and it’s something so neat and exciting and different for me, I’d be dumb to pass it up,' as reported by Vulture.
