Julia Roberts has become a regular on the best dressed list especially during awards season events.

But on Monday, the 47-year-old actress proved that her style may be more lax in her private life as she was seen shopping for a gift at Cross Creek in Malibu, California.

For her casaul outing, the Pretty Woman star was dressed in a frumpy grey dress that completely cloaked her figure.

The mother-of-three opted for comfort wearing an oversized getup over a pair of black leggings.

She also covered up her eyes with black sunglasses and kept warm with a pink and red scarf.

The four-time Oscar nominated star rounded out her look with black slippers and pulled back her long brunette tresses in a high bun.

Julia took a break from filming her latest film The Secret In Their Eyes to purchase a present as she was spotted walking out of the boutique with a large brown bag with matching tissue paper.

The Secret In Their Eyes is a remake of the 2009 Argentine crime thriller of the same name, which was released in the USA the following year.

Chiwetel Ejiofor plays former legal counsellor Ray in the Billy Ray directed movie, who believes he has found the man who murdered his former partner and friend’s daughter.

Julia portrays the mother of the murdered girl, while Breaking Bad alum Dean Norris acts as a District Attorney investigator on the unsolved case.

It was originally claimed that Gwyneth Paltrow was in talks to take the role of Irene now filled by Nicole Kidman.

In addition, Julia will start shooting Money Monster with her good friend George Clooney in the Jodie Foster-directed film.
