Hilary Duff proved once again just what a doting mum she is on Monday.

The 27-year-old was spotted taking her cute son Luca out in Beverly Hills and treating him to a shopping spree at a local toy store before making her way to a play date.

When the pair left the store, the doting mum was carrying a bag packed with so many presents it looked bigger than her little boy.

She's back: Hilary Duff was delighted to be reunited with her son Luca on Monday after a brief stint apart last week when she headed over to Sweeden for a few days to work on new music material

As she headed out hand in hand with her little boy, the star turned heads in a sheer white tee which exposed her black bra.

Hilary completed her simple yet stylish look with a pair of ripped dungarees and white trainers.

With her long blonde locks tied back in a ponytail and minimal makeup on her face, Hilary showed off her natural beauty and flawless complexion.

She then accessorised with dark oversized shades and a chic gold necklace.

Meanwhile, Luca, who will be turning three on March 20, looked adorable in a yellow tee and black jeans.

Hilary was briefly separated from her son last week when she headed over to Sweden for a few days to work on new music material.

While the star admitted she loved being back in the studio, she also revealed that the few days she’d spent apart from her little boy had been taking its toll.

'Miss him something terrible today :(,' she wrote on Instagram underneath a picture of the two-year-old playing under a duvet.

However, the star now appears to have more than made up for her short time away.

Hilary and her little boy's father Mike Comrie decided to separate last year.

The friendly exes announced their breakup on Jan 10, 2014 after three and a half years of marriage and over seven years of dating.

At the time, they released a joint statement that read: 'Hilary and Mike have mutually decided to an amicable separation. They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son.'
