After spending years struggling to conceive, Lisa Hochstein has revealed that her first child is on the way.

The couple, who wed in 2009, could not be happier.

'It did not feel real, almost unbelievable!' the Bravo star told Us Weekly.

'Although I was beyond excited and overjoyed, we did not want to get our hopes up too high until we passed the first trimester.'

Their exciting news comes after the two struggled to conceive for years, including three miscarriages and four failed IVF treatments - which can be seen in the second and third seasons of The Real Housewives Of Miami.

'We felt that we tried almost every option available to us except surrogacy,' Lisa told the publication, calling surrogacy a 'last resort' before considering adoption.

Though, this certainly wasn't an easy decision for Lisa, who instead deemed it to be 'difficult.'

But the former Playboy model still hasn't lost faith in becoming pregnant herself.

'Hopefully in the future I will have this opportunity,' she emphasised.

The baby-to-be, whose sex is yet to be revealed, is due on August 1.

And Lisa and Lenny have already been thinking about names and want to stick to tradition.

'We are thinking he or she should have a name beginning with the letter L so we would all have the same initials,' she told Us Weekly.

Dr. Lenny once starred in his own Bravo reality series in 2004 called Miami Slice, which only lasted one season.
