'It's my biggest fear!' Jessica Simpson dangles off a cliff to shoot fashion campaign... despite being terrified of heights

Jessica Simpson is no stranger to taking a fashion risk.

However, with the promotional photos for her new line the 34-year-old actually faced her self-described 'biggest fear' - heights.

She edged over to the side of a cliff in Sedona, Arizona to capture a stunning shot modeling a dress from her Spring 2015 campaign.

Jessica has openly discussed her fear of heights in numerous interviews, but took on the challenge anyway, citing confidence in her photographer.

'The campaign was shot by one of my all-time favorite photographers, Gilles Bensimon,' she said, speaking with People. 

'The passion he puts into his work gives me the confidence to follow his vision, even when it takes me to the side of a cliff in 6-inch heels.' 

'Somehow, he captured a serene moment amidst my biggest fear. Of course, this ended up being one of my favorite shots.'

In the picture the mother of two looked casual despite the setting, while she posed in a black halter dress, embellished with a gold belt that accentuated her svelte frame.

Jessica excitedly took to Instagram to share the photo, captioning it: 'Sedona vibes for Spring '15 @jessicasimpsonstyle @gilles_bensimon #onlyGillescouldgetmetodothis' 

She also showed off the more casual attire in her line, showcasing her toned legs in another photo as she modeled a pair of daisy dukes, beige, fringe heels, and a loose, bohemian-style blouse.

The blonde beauty dished on her inspiration, saying: 'This season the collection is influenced by the Southwest: turquoise jewelry, worn denim and tons of suede and fringe,' she said, adding: 'The styling is easy and free-spirited.'

Jessica's whole team - including her mom Tina, who helped her style the shoot - took a road trip in order to photograph the gorgeous shoot for her new line.

'My team and I packed our bags and hit the dusty trail, traveling eight hours - by tour bus - from L.A. to Sedona,' she shared.
