PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Bruce Jenner seen talking on his phone while driving... just three days after fatal car crash

Bruce Jenner was seen talking on his phone while driving in Los Angeles on Tuesday, just three days after he was involved in a car crash that left one dead.

The Olympic gold medallist turned reality star had the device pressed to his ear while behind the wheel in Thousand Oaks, California.

It is illegal to use a handheld mobile phone while driving in the state of California, unless calling emergency services. MailOnline has contacted a representative for Jenner for comment.

The 65-year-old was seen in a $14,000 Ford Fiesta, and wore a baseball hat and sunglasses.

On Saturday, Jenner was involved in a four-car crash while driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The star smashed his Cadillac Escalade into the victim's white Lexus, which was then pushed into the path of a Hummer, leaving the vehicle a crumpled wreck and the sole occupant, 69-year-old Kim Howe, dead.

Jenner escaped the accident unharmed and took and passed a sobriety test, before giving officers a blood sample at a nearby hospital.

Breaking his silence on the crash the following day, Jenner said in a statement: 'My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident.

'It is a devastating tragedy, and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.'

Jenner was pictured with a cigarette in hand moments before the pile-up.

On Monday, detectives said they are planning to ask Jenner to turn over his cell phone records to show whether he was texting while driving at the time of the crash - an activity that could net a vehicular manslaughter charge under California law, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The star's representative has denied that he was texting behind the wheel.

Detectives in Malibu have opened a vehicular homicide investigation in the crash Saturday afternoon on the Pacific Coast Highway, CNN reports. If any of the drivers in the crash are found criminally negligent, felony charges could be filed - which carry a sentence of up to six years in prison.
