Rock chick! Rumer Willis steps out wearing a vintage Van Halen T-shirt and beanie for lunch with friends in LA

Rumer Willis is currently performing For The Record: Dear John Hughes at the DBA Theater in West Hollywood.

And on Monday the 26-year-old channeled the rock and roll part of her performance as she sported a vintage band T-shirt while out with friends in Studio City.

She looked rocker chic as she walked with friends following her second weekend of performances for the new cabaret show.

Rumer sported a vintage black Van Halen T-shirt, which she wore partly tucked into a pair of black skinny jeans.

She coupled that look with a pair of beige Toms slip-on sneakers, and hid her eyes behind a pair of black sunglasses.

At times during the outing her short black hair was tucked underneath a black beanie, and she was joined by two friends.

The raven-hair beauty brightened up her dark look for the day by carrying a large blue, leather handbag.

Earlier in the day she had taken to Instagram to share a makeup-free snap alongside her dog, Delilah.

Rumer captioned the photo, which was a close-up shot of the two cuddling in bed as they slept: '#wewokeuplikethis'

Recently Rumer's show, For the Record: Dear John Hughes, debuted at the DBA Theater in West Hollywood.

For The Record: Dear John Hughes takes on the music associated with the late director's iconic '80s teen films such as Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles.

On Monday she took to Instagram once more to share a snap from inside the West Hollywood theater beside actresses Janel Parrish and Joanna Alexis.

Her caption read on Monday: 'Had a great time with these lovely ladies @janelparrish and @joannaalexis90 at #ftrjohnhughes We decided to dress up for prom.'

Dates for Dear John Hughes are listed now through April 4, and the show is presented weekends at the DBA Theater in West Hollywood.
