Byron Marine Limited was initially founded in 1992 as a shipping business, quickly identifying the opportunity to diversify its business base across the full marine services sector, providing services not only to the UK Ministry of Defence but also to the Governments of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. In addition to bidding for further vessels and ship management contracts, Byron Marine delivers a wide and diverse range of services that include, but is not limited to the following:

• Ship husbandry;
• Vessel agency services;
• Pilotage and superintending (cargo and engineering);
• Support services to offshore oil and gas exploration.

Byron Marine has been exclusively responsible for providing offshore logistic support services to the Oil & Gas Industry since 1996. Within the joint venture partnership of Byron McKay Port Services Limited, offshore support services contracts were secured for the Ocean Guardian drilling programme and subsequently the Leiv Eiriksson programme. Byron Marine have provided consultancy, real-estate, plant equipment and labour support services to Desire Petroleum, Rockhopper exploration, Borders & Southern Petroleum and Falkland Oil & Gas Ltd.
