Privacy Awareness Week 2014

Privacy Awareness Week 2014 will be held from 4 to 10 May.

Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is the primary privacy awareness campaign of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum and is held every year at the start of May.

Meeting of the Association of Information Access Commissioners

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) is hosting a meeting of the Association of Information Access Commissioners (AIAC) on the 28th November at their office in Sydney.

40th Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities Forum

The 40th Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum is taking place on 26 and 27 November, 2013. Representatives from 11 privacy authorities from around the world, as well as some observers, will gather to discuss local and international privacy issues.

Launch of Community Attitudes to Privacy report

The 2013 results of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner's (OAIC) Community Attitudes to Privacy survey were launched 9October, at an event in Sydney.

The full survey report is available on the Privacy reports page, or via a short URL that has been created: www.oaic.gov.au/community-attitudes.

The OAIC worked in collaboration with the sponsors of this project (Primary Sponsor — Commonwealth Bank Australia, Key Sponsor — Henry Davis York, Sponsor — McAfee) to produce an infographic (jpgjpg43 KB pdfpdf1.41 MB) and a video (available on YouTube) of the results.
