They announced they'd secretly wed in January with the exciting news that they're expecting their first child together.

And parents-to-be Chad Michael Murray and Sarah Roemer appear to be taking it easy in the days leading up to their big arrival as they stepped out for a sunny stroll in Studio City, California on Saturday.

The 33-year-old actor walked hand-in-hand with his new wife looking casual in faded jeans and a black T-shirt.

He covered his head with a baseball cap and shaded his eyes with mirrored aviators.

His Chosen co-star Sarah, 30, meanwhile kept comfortable in a simple grey midi-dress and summery flip-flops.

Last month, Chad - who rose to fame on TV series One Tree Hill - casually revealed the gender of the couple's first child.

'I'm a respect first kind of guy, so I think certain things that I want my son to have is just respect and just to be a kind human being,' Chad told E! News.

'I'm a big sports guy, an outdoorsy guy, so I'll be having him fishing at 5, 6...to take him kayaking and hiking. I just keep thinking in my head, just trying to create 6ft5in quarterback.'

Sarah is best known for her roles in Disturbia, Fired Up! and The Grudge 2.

His weakness: Chad has made a habit of dating his castmates and has previously romanced ex-wife Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill), ex-fiancée Kenzie Dalton (One Tree Hill), and ex-girlfriend Nicky Whelan (Chosen and Left Behind)

The couple got together early in 2014, soon after Chad split with his Left Behind and Chosen co-star Nicky Whelan.

Before his six-month relationship with Nicky, the New-York born star romanced One Tree Hill actresses ex-fiancée Kenzie Dalton and ex-wife Sophia Bush.

As well as reprising his role as Jacob Orr in the fourth season of Chosen, Chad will appear in the History Channel's eight-part miniseries Texas Rising which premieres May 25.
