She's known to be one of the most houseproud stars in Hollywood even professing to doing her own housework.

So you can imagine that Jennifer Aniston was less than impressed when a drunk driver ploughed into her front verge, demolishing her plants.

According to TMZ, police were called to the star's Bel Air compound on Saturday night after the drama.

It is unclear if the Horrible Bosses and Friends actress was at home when the car careered off the road at 8.30pm.

And as reported by the showbiz website, it was Jennifer's security guard that dialed 911.

Police sources revealed that the driver at first denied being responsible, saying he was not behind the wheel.

But footage from cameras proved otherwise and the suspect was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.

The immaculate mid century modern home in an area of Bel Air known as the Platinum Triangle is estimated to be worth around $40 million.

The property sits on 3.5 acres and includes four bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

Last year Radar reported the 46-year old had submitted plans for an enormous $60,000 walk-in wardrobe measuring 24ft by 36 ft.

She and her fiance Justin Theroux have made the sprawling property a true labour of love investing a fortune into the 8,500 square foot home she bought in 2012.

In an interview with the Independent newspaper in 2006, she said she still did much of her own housework.

'I make my bed every day and I clean my kitchen,' she said.
