Her fans from 24 or Happy Endings might have trouble recognizing Elisha Cuthbert with a new vamp style.

That's because the 32-year-old actress traded in her standard girl-next-door looks for a glamorous makeover in the April issue of FASHION Magazine.

In her interview, however, she stayed rather down-to-earth as she talked about the joys of working with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi on the upcoming comedy One Big Happy.

Usually a wholesome blonde in her acting roles, Elisha had her hair styled dramatically back from her face and wore makeup that emphasized her eyes and cheekbones during the FASHION photo shoot.

The photos showed the actress in two racy black tops: an X-shaped one from Carven At The Room and a breast-revealing crop top by Alexander Wang.

That high-fashion look will likely disappear again for One Big Happy, in which Elisha plays Lizzy, a lesbian woman who becomes pregnant with her best friend's baby.

Elisha Cuthbert really is one big happy on the front of Fashion magazine here. The new show she's starring in is set to debut very soon, which is one of the many reasons we assume Elisha made the cover here, not to mention her stunning figure, fab fashion sense and cutting cheekbones.

She looked gorgeous in a pastel blue Stella McCartney blazer that suited the actress' porcelain skin. The smart piece was given a hint of sex-appeal with the plunging crop top layered beneath the tailored jacket. The powder blue blazer epitomises the upcoming spring season, where pastel colours are much sought after. Set off your look with baby pink trousers or white skinnies to ensure you're packing a punch with your spring-fresh look.

Unfortunately, the timing is such that that friend (played by Nick Zano) has simultaneously fallen for Prudence (Kelly Brook).

One Big Happy was created by lesbian comedy writer Liz Feldman before Ellen came on to produce.

That background meant a lot to Elisha: 'I felt I had to do this. Just look at what Ellen went through 18 years ago when she came out on her TV series.'

'Could you imagine how hard that was for her and how groundbreaking that was?'

New style: Seen as a wholesome blonde on shows like 24 and Happy Endings, Elisha sported a more fashionable style for the magazine

Elisha was happy to praise both Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, after working with them on One Big Happy.

'They are a couple that all married people can look up to. They're very supportive of one another and they have each other's backs,' explained Elisha.

Portia even stepped in to produce when Ellen was too busy with The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

'De Rossi stepped in,' Elisha revealed. 'One could easily not care about the other's endeavours, but Portia really did. That was so sweet.'

Even after lauding Ellen and Portia, Elisha had plenty of love leftover for her native Canada.

'It's a no-brainer. If you want to keep warm and look good, just wear something made by a Canadian,' the actress, who was born in Calgary, said when asked about Canadian fashion.

She stuck to the Canada theme as well when gushing about meeting one of her idols, fellow countrywoman and singer Joni Mitchell.

'I was dumbfounded,' Elisha said. 'She has no filter, she's clever, and she's a genius. She has also reverted to not giving a d*** about stupid things.'

'I'm excited for that time,' the actress added.

Prior to One Big Happy, Elisha appeared on several seasons of 24 as Kim, Jack Bauer's daughter, and on Happy Endings as the ditzy Alex Kerkovich.

One Big Happy premieres Tuesday on NBC for a six-episode run.
