Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim Announces Retirement In Three Years

Relax folks, he still has three seasons left

Usually when important sports figures announce retirement, they usually don’t come back for the following season; let alone three at that. In relevant news, Syracuse Men’s Basketball legend Jim Boeheim has officially announced that he will be hanging it up in the next three years.  The announcement comes shortly after Daryl Gross the longtime friend of Boheim and athletic director of the program, announced his retirement.

Boeheim will be entering next season at the age of 70, with a career record of 858 wins and 333 losses in which he lost 108  coaching victories due to the NCAA’s outstanding penalties. Before he got hit with the hefty penalties, he was ranked second all-time on the NCAA all-time winning list, but now he ranks sixth. Despite the short fall from grace, he still has three more seasons to turn it back around and finish on a good note.
